About The Kelly's
The Kelly’s currently reside in Knoxville, TN. where they actively work with more than 35 veterinary hospitals and clinics in the Greater Knoxville and Oak Ridge areas providing in-home, customized lessons covering behavioral problems, obedience and trick training. Having been instrumental in saving many dogs from being sent to animal shelters and helping pet owners learn how to enjoy their dogs, they are now focusing more effort on educating the general public about solutions to the most common dog behavior problems.
To this end, the Kelly’s have lectured to Veterinary Students on the most common dog behavior problems at the University of Tennessee (UT) under the "Behavioral and Comparative Medicine Department" during 2005 and 2006. They have been featured speakers on several occasions to various Veterinary Student Organizations at UT and were invited to preside over the Pet Behavior Section at the 2007 UT Veterinary and Agriculture Schools Open House. In addition, they have conducted seminars for staff at veterinary clinics, rescue societies and Veterinary Medical Associations, and from 2003 – 2006 conducted Pet Seminars for large audiences both in and outside of the United States. They also currently work with and support several animal rescue groups in the East Tennessee area.
The Kelly’s are available to speak to any organization interested in fostering better education of the public to the life long benefits of “dog ownership.” Understanding how dogs communicate and the messages we, as owners, are communicating to our dogs and then applying them in positive, humane ways is the best way to learn how to “train” them to be the wonderful companions God intended them to be.
